Osiris’s Alex Mizurov came out this December to escape the German winter and killed it everyday he was out. Tamer Ramadan took him around and came up with these “leftovers” for Rage TV!
Thanks Alex!

Big round of applause for our third-time winner: Ibrahim Wadhai who stomped all of his tricks and won the éS Game of SKATE in Dubai this weekend. Also congrats to the runner-ups 2nd:Kyle Smith and 3rd: Evan Collisson for making it to the finals! Have fun in Paris Ibrahim!

With heats up to 45+ celsius during the summer, we held the event indoors right outside our Dubai Festival City shop. There was great surprise and onlooking action from shoppers passing through. Skaters crammed the hallway as each skater went head to head.
Evan Collisson 3rd Place
Kyle Smith 2nd Place
Ibrahim Wadhai 1st Place with a ticket to Paris France!
Kader on the mic and Shahriar holding the medals
Top Three!
Here’s everyone that came down and stayed for this quick photo (everyone else went to the skatepark or they just weren’t here because they left the country!)
Thanks to all the skaters that came down, as always with each year we throw this amazing event, the level of skating keeps rising. Although the cream always rises to the top and it’s no wonder because this was Ibrahim’s THIRD éS Game of SKATE win!!!
Congrats Ibrahim! Hold it down in Paris! We got your back!

The show must go on. Well it certainly does with P Storm’s newest video release for his upcoming mix tape ‘The Calm Before’. The video and song reflect on the past of P Storm in an honest and frank manner. The lyrics are a no holds bar insight into the upbringing of P Storm and the making of the artist he is today. Filled with nostalgia and a reminisce of the past, the video gives insight into the life of growing up in Dubai and the flip slide of all the glitz and glamour represented in the mainstream media. It also includes a few of the Rage riders ripping up the Fountain! Refreshing and thought provoking.

Well well well. Another year, another eS game of skate! Thanks to the good people at Emaar, we hosted the game at Dubai Mall. The event was supposed to start at 2pm, but due to a few stragglers we started a little later. Names were drawn out a hat, so the match-ups varied. Some got blasted out straight away and some stretched out their arsenal of tricks to progress. Surprise contender was Karim Nassar who came out of nowhere with a barrage of tech tricks…
The highlight of the event had to be the epic battle between the titans of the Dubai skate scene, Evan vs Maysam, who had everyone on the edge of their seat/skateboard and both contenders scratching their heads for new tricks to out do each other. After landing each set trick, it became obvious that it was going to be a tough competition. The antithesis of all this drama had to be Doug Martin. Doug turned up late, no warm up, cup of coke in his hand and decides to join the comp just before we start. In his relaxed and bi-spectacled style, he somehow chewed his way through the competition with ease to win. Something does have to be said about his final competitor Karim. Mid way through the finals Karim snapped his board, which forced him to use a new board he was not so used to. Ah well, better luck next year everyone!
Good luck Dougie Fresh and enjoy the éS European Finals of the Game of S.K.A.T.E this September in Paris!
Here’s an interview with Doug we conducted with him while he came by the office today to get his plane ticket hooked up…

The first leg of the DSF Skate and BMX series took place this weekend. There was a big crowd and plenty of competitors ripping up the park. A sudden downpour and strong winds plagued the professional finals. However this did not stop Spanky from landing a front side lip slide down the big red rail and Colm attempting a nollie flip down the double set.
Highlights of the day included the second heat of the juniors being held off to let Mark Gavigan kick flip the double set. He did it perfect and rolled away laughing.
The competition results for the first leg are:
Juniors (skateboarding)
1st Mark Gavigan
2nd Lawrence Jokun
3rd Ryan Chambers
Seniors (skateboarding)
1st Colm Noonan
2nd Chef Spanky
3rd Dougie ‘fresh’ Martin
BMX
1ST Hassan Zayed
2nd Joe Maher
3rd Abdullah

Although one would think a concert hosted by the band ‘Simple Plan’ would be quite a plain and depressing experience, they would be incorrect. For those of you who don’t know the one and only ‘Simple Plan’, they are a Pop/Punk band based in Montreal, Quebec. Although the band have quite a sad nature to their music, singing of past experiences such as childhood and heartbreak, the band does prove to be a “must-have” in anyone’s music library.

probably the most psyched group of fans if simple plan ever had any. tamer, evan, danny, eshaun, colm <3 katrina and mark from oz.
On the bands tour to Dubai they performed at the Madinat arena, a multi-purpose venue able to hold 4550 people, which was a shame to see a crowd of less than 1000, this was possibly because most people have better things to do on a Thursday night. But, although the band were missing their bass guitarist David Desrosier, they still managed to play to the standards of Rage team rider ‘Kyle Smith’, who found an upmost amount of satisfaction and stimulation to such cover’s as ‘I Kissed a Girl’ by Katie Perry and ‘Low’ by FLO Rida. After the concert finished surprisingly early, Rage team riders such as Shaun Barton, Kyle Smith, Colm Noonan, Evan Collisson and the likes of Mark Khalil, Greg Jojo and myself proceeded to the after party held at the “7-Star” cafeteria ‘Food and Drink’, located in the heart of Al Barsha. Here we were welcomed by Sajeerah and fellow employee’s greeting us with shawarma’s of the highest quality.
In conclusion, for those who were present at the Simple plan concert they can honestly say it was nothing but a breathtaking experience. The lighting and sound where somewhat spectacular and the pure talent coming from these great musicians was astonishing. A definite 10/10.
